In "duh" news, the U.S. women's national team is one of the most popular teams in "FIFA 16." The EA video game added 12 women's national teams to its latest edition (and even included Alex Morgan on the U.S. cover), and according to The Post Game, fans are firmly on board.
At BlazerCon in New York, EA COO Peter Moore revealed the USWNT is one of the most-played teams in the game. "If you take the U.S. women as a singular team and you look at the 600 teams you can play with on a global basis, not just in the U.S., the U.S. women, they're actually the 23rd-most played team around the world in 'FIFA 16,' which is a stunning statistic," he said.
He also said that Morgan has scored more than a MILLION goals in the game, becoming the first woman to do so. Yup, I would say that's pretty impressive.
