It's been 22 years since ice-skaters Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan captivated the world with their rivalry, which culminated in Harding's ex-husband and bodyguard hiring someone to break Kerrigan's leg prior to the U.S. championships. Just a month later, both women competed in the 1994 Olympics with the eyes of the world upon them.
And now the infamous story will be revisited in a new movie called, "I, Tonya." On Tuesday, it was announced that actress Margot Robbie would be playing Harding in the film. Her rep confirmed the (SUPER EXCITING) news to Entertainment Weekly.
No word on who will be playing Kerrigan, or any of the other casting decisions, or really any of the other movie details for that matter, but I personally CAN'T WAIT for this film.
