During the 2015 NCAA tournament, the world was introduced to a dedicated Villanova band member, best known as "Piccolo Girl." During the top-seeded Wildcats' loss to North Carolina State in the round of 32, Roxanne Chalifoux was spotted during the game broadcast as she tearfully continued to play her piccolo during the final devastating moments. She instantly became a viral superstar and even appeared on the "Tonight Show."
Fast-forward a year and the now-Villanova graduate was on hand in Houston on Monday night to watch her alma mater win the national title in a thriller against North Carolina. As she eloquently said on Twitter, what a difference a year makes:

And, because the Internet, many clever Twitter users brought Chalifoux's viral image back to life throughout the game -- and it was even combined with the night's biggest meme, the crying Michael Jordan face, for a pretty classic picture.

Congrats on the win, Roxanne. Now please triumphantly go play go your piccolo in celebration somewhere.
