After bringing home three Olympic medals from Rio, Aly Raisman had the world in her hands. And aside from being seriously everywhere (from the VMAs to "Good Morning America"), she was also famously asked out by then-Oakland Raiders tight end Colton Underwood.
With help from 2008 Olympic hero-turned-matchmaker Shawn Johnson (whose husband, Andrew East, was teammates with Underwood at the time), Underwood sent a video via Yahoo Sports to Raisman, who ultimately agreed to a date. The proposition got a lot of attention at the time, but we never heard about it again, and most of us had assumed the meeting had never happened.
However, we all assumed wrong, because it turns out the two are ACTUALLY DATING.
Yes, it's true! According to Raisman, the two have been dating since late August after meeting in Denver, where they both happened to be at the same time. The pair made their first public appearance on Monday night in Brooklyn at the Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year ceremony, where they walked the red carpet together -- the famous person equivalent of "Facebook official."
Underwood, who is a free agent, drove more than 90 minutes to see Raisman for their second and third dates, according to the gymnast, in an interview with People. They plan on spending time together over the holidays -- and will even be seeing each other's families. AWWWWWWW!
