"I get goose bumps talking about her. That's how much respect I have." -- Pokey Chatman, coach of WNBA Chicago Sky, talking about Catchings
The Indiana Fever lost the WNBA championship to the Minnesota Lynx, but Fever forward Tamika Catchings managed to put another record on the books in 2015.
The 10-time All-Star became the first person in league history to score 1,000 career points in the playoffs.
Simply having the opportunity to put up a ridiculous number of postseason points is the mark of a legacy, and Catchings has been an integral part of Fever history: Indiana has made it to the playoffs for 11 straight years.
The likelihood of the Fever heading to the postseason again in 2016 is high, although Catchings' postseason point total will only see a small bump; she has announced that the 2016 WNBA season will be her last.
