Ciera Johnson, a 6-foot-4 post from Duncanville (Texas) and the No. 15 prospect in the espnW HoopGurlz Top 100 for the 2016 class, has given a verbal commitment to Louisville.

"I just visited Louisville and came away realizing that this was the place to call home," Johnson said. "I enjoyed meeting my new teammates, the coaching staff, and I'm ready to be a Cardinal."

Johnson, who averaged 14.9 points, 9.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 3.2 blocks and 1.2 steals as a junior, had previously visited Texas and Texas A&M.

In Johnson, Louisville and coach Jeff Walz gain an impact prospect in the post. She brings a fluid interior game with consistent production, which sets her apart from many other centers in the nation.

Johnson is no stranger to winning. She was part of a 105-game winning streak at Duncanville, which ended when Johnson was a sophomore.

Johnson is the fourth Top 100 prospect in Walz's stellar 2016 class. She joins fellow post player Kylee Shook, the No. 18 prospect; point guard Sydney Zambrotta, the No. 29 prospect; and guard Jazmine Jones, ranked 55th.

The NCAA's early signing period opens Nov. 11 and runs through Nov. 18.
