Tori McCoy, the No. 10 prospect in the espnW HoopGurlz Top 100, has signed a national letter of intent with Ohio State.

McCoy, who missed most of her junior season with a torn ACL in her left knee, had also been considering South Carolina.

The 6-foot-4 forward led St. Thomas More (Champaign, Illinois) to a state title as a sophomore, averaging 18.9 points and 9.7 rebounds.

Count her high school coach, Jay Price, among those who believe McCoy will make an immediate impact at the next level.

"Tori McCoy is one of the four or five best players in the country," he said. "She has God-given athletic ability and a great work ethic. When she gets going with the ball in her hands, she is scary good."

McCoy becomes the third member of Ohio State's recruiting class, joining Kiara Lewis, ranked 22nd in the nation, and Jensen Caretti, ranked 31st. Caretti announced her decision on Friday.
