On this week's "Around the Rim," women's basketball analyst LaChina Robinson covers the Lynx's historic start to the WNBA season and speaks with two of the game's brightest stars -- Sky rookie Imani Boyette and three-time WNBA champion and Mercury guard Diana Taurasi.
Robinson and Boyette chat about the player's basketball family (mom is former WNBA star Pam McGee and brother is NBA's JaVale McGee), her season thus far and why she started a social media campaign to get rapper 50 Cent to attend a WNBA game. The 10th overall pick in the 2016 WNBA draft also talks about her stance on sexual abuse and mental illness, how she turned to poetry as an outlet and even shares one of her favorite pieces (her poems can be found on her website www.imaniboyette.com).
In the second half of the show, Robinson goes one on one with Taurasi discussing the guard's time away from the WNBA, Phoenix's slow start, impressive players around the league and more. Taurasi also answers some fan questions and sheds light on her plans after basketball.
