G2 Esports bot laner Luka "Perkz" Perkovic has announced that he will be taking the next week off from League of Legends competition.

In a tweet posted following G2's victory vs Fnatic on Saturday, Perkz revealed that he has been "... having a bit hard time dealing with stress so I will be taking a break from competing from next week."

Perkz's father died on June 7 from cancer, but Perkz has been active in competition since that time.

Perkz swapped positions with Rasmus "Caps" Winther ahead of the start of the League of Legends European Championship summer split, with Perkz moving from the mid lane, which he played during the LEC spring split, to the AD carry position.

G2 is currently tied for third in the LEC standings with a 4-3 record. The team went 1-1 this past weekend, losing to SK Gaming on Friday before an emphatic victory over Fnatic in the rivalry matchup.

G2 face Misfits on Friday and Excel next Saturday. Kristoffer "P1noy" Pedersen is G2's substitute AD carry. Thus far there is no official word from G2 if he will start in place of Perkz next weekend.
