Five months down, one big one for real baseball and the fantasy version left. Strong fantasy teams might look nothing like they did in the final days of March, and that is OK. In fact, one could argue a smart fantasy manager is still tinkering with their team, looking for helpful free agents, fortifying the bench, seeking every advantage to gain a point here or there in individual categories or head-to-head matchups.

With that, here we go with the final free agent-focused blog entry before September, changing up the format since quite a few of the names on prior editions were not changing. That is OK, too ... well, unless they are upgrades for your team. Never stop making your teams better, even with the trade deadline passed. Today we look at the myriad hitters and some pitchers having big Augusts who are certainly worth your attention. Note that each player is available in at least half of ESPN's standard formats.
