Editor's note: The rankings below have been updated to account for the latest news and to remove players from Thursday's Falcons/Saints game.

Latest update: Friday, 10:30 a.m. ET

This season, our IDP rankings will be shown as an average of two rankers: Jim McCormick, who has provided rankings for ESPN for many years, and Jeff Ratcliffe, assistant managing editor for Pro Football Focus Fantasy. Upon the release of the rankings each Wednesday, they will rank 45 players at each of three positions: defensive line, linebacker and defensive back. Any players not ranked by either Jim or Jeff will receive a ranking value of 50 for the purposes of the composite rankings. In the charts below, you will see an "NR" to denote a player who was not ranked by that individual.

Each Friday morning, we will update the rankings to remove players from Thursday's game in order to give you the most updated and useful rankings for the remaining NFL games that week.

Because scoring systems can vary greatly in IDP formats, these rankings will be based on the following scoring criteria:

Solo tackle: 1.5 points
Assisted tackle: 0.75 points
Tackle for loss: 2 points
Sack: 4 points
Interception: 5 points
Forced fumble: 4 points
Fumble recovery: 4 points
Defensive TD: 6 points
Safety: 2 points
Pass defensed: 1.5 points
