Background: His grandparents started Peter fishing in the ocean and off bridges of the Intercoastal Waterway near Jacksonville, Fla. As a teenager, Clark Nickas, a fellow church member, introduced Thliveros to the St. John's Bass Angler Club, where he met his first Bass Fishing coach and friend, Jerry Redmone. Redmone got Thliveros started in fishing all types of tournaments. Thliveros considers himself an instinctive fisherman, and spends a lot of time paying attention to what the fish are telling him
