| Aptly named Fisher wins flyfishing qualifier ESPN Outdoors Communications April 18, 2002
Lori Ann Murphy of of Victor, Idaho won the casting competition with 600 points, and Dustin Jacobson of Cheyenne, Wyo., finished the casting competition with no points. That might have cost Jacobson the overall title, however, since he tied Andy Fisher of Cody, Wyo., in the final with a catch 17 inches long and 8 inches in girth, but Fisher got the top prize because ties were settled by points from the casting competition. Finals Name Hometown Length Girth 1. Andy Fisher * Cody, Wyo. 17 inches 8 inches 2. Dustin Jacobson Cheyenne, Wyo. 17 inches 8 inches 3. Michael Hatfield Midlothian, Va. 16¼ 8 4.
