2001 GOG Finish: Gold Medal Hometown: Gadsden, AL Age: 48 Height: 5'10" Weight: 200 Marital Status: Married Children: Two Occupation: Elevator sales, service and repair; pro archer Background: Caudle became interested in bowhunting through a good friend named Billy Nailor. They both got into shooting archery and Jackie started competing locally in the Bowhunters of Alabama organization. Caudle's whole family eventually became interested in archery and they all began to practice and compete together. They are well known throughout the country as "the first family of archery." Records Held: Archery Gold Medal, 2000, 2001 Great Outdoor Games; four World Titles; three Buckmaster's Titles; IBO World Title; Outdoor Trail Winner Strengths: Ability to judge yardage Weaknesses: Finding the time to train Injuries: In 1995 Caudle accidentally shot an arrow through his hand, forcing him to endure surgery, a 45-degree cast and extensive physical therapy. Still, he competed the very next weekend. Why? Because it was for $50,000 dollars. Caudle continues to suffer scar tissue buildup from the accident and can't fully stretch out his hand.
