Chris Parker didn't count on the name for her Border Collie to describe so well what the two would eventually go through together.
Parker's dog is Mayhem. And the two will be competing in July at the 2004 ESPN Great Outdoor Games in the Large Dog Agility and Large Dog Super Weave competitions. But getting there hasn't been easy.
They've had to endure a little mayhem of different sort.

But that wasn't the end of this team's trials.
In February, Mayhem was injured when a previously broken toe caught in the carpet at the AKC nationals.
"His front end went one way and his back end went the other," Parker said.
The result was a sprained lower back, a torn quadricep muscle, a torn groin muscle and a re-injured toe. Mayhem spent a month in a rehab hospital and another month resting at home.
It's the type of injuries that would send the average human and dog into retirement. Parker and Mayhem, though, aren't finished yet. They have their sights set on raising a little mayhem at the Great Outdoor Games.
"If we can come back from this; come back and still perform well, we'll be the Cinderella story of Agility," Parker said.
"I think this is our year for the Great Outdoor Games. After seeing how he's come back and how well he's doing now, with all the support we've had from our fellow agility handlers, it's time."
It won't the first time the two have achieved the seemingly impossible. Mayhem has already made his mark on the record books.
This one is the Guinness Book of World Records, where he's listed as the holder for Dog Weaving (60 weavepoles in 9.54 seconds).
Mayhem was only 18 months old when he broke the record. Parker had read about someone in South Africa holding the record at 12 seconds. She knew Mayhem could do it faster.
A local agility club was having a carnival of agility games, so Parker talked them into doing a 60 weavepole challenge to allow them a chance to break the record.
Parker contacted Guiness and got the rules. She trained in her back yard with both Mayhem and Cajun (her Golden). On the day of the carnival, Cajun broke the record first with a time of 11.04 seconds and Mayhem broke that record an hour later.
