Mother Nature reminded the world that this tournament is played on the east coast of Scotland as rain pummeled the Old Course at St. Andrews between the first and second rounds Thursday and Friday. Play was suspended for more than three hours and grounds crews scrambled to prepare the course for major tournament golf once the rain ended.
This isn't the first time The Open has had to deal with unpredictable St. Andrews weather. Here is a look at some of the worst through the years at the Old Course.
