LeBron, foundation dip toe into the golf world

The LeBron James Family Foundation will partner with the Web.com Tour as the main beneficiary for the new DAP Championship starting in 2016.

According to the tour, the agreement runs from 2016-18, which is slightly shorter than the Cleveland Cavaliers star's new lifetime deal with Nike, announced recently.

The tournament will lead off the Web.com Tour Finals Series of four events that decide which players earn PGA Tour cards for the following year. It will be played Sept. 8-11 at Canterbury Golf Club in suburban Cleveland.

James' involvement with the event itself was unclear, but his interest in golf, at least from the video below ... well, you decide.
