Hole 10: 404 yards, par-4
Sorenstam's opening tee shot (the first shot hit by a woman on the PGA Tour in 58 years) went straight and true, 243 yards down the middle of the fairway. Her second shot (9-iron) found the center of the green, about 17 feet from the hole. The birdie putt came up short, but she nailed the second putt for PAR.
Hole 11: 609 yards, par-5
Another straight tee shot, a driver right down the middle of the fairway (258 yards). Using a 7-wood on her second shot, she layed up about 125 yards short of the hole. Her third shot, a 9-iron, landed 22 feet from the hole. Her first putt (fourth shot) came up short, but she drained her second one for a second straight PAR.
Hole 12: 433 yards, par-4
She was in the fairway again off the tee, 264 yards. Her second shot (8-iron) came up just short of the green. For the third straight hole, she left her first putt (third shot) from 24 feet short of the cup. She hit her second putt for a third straight PAR.
Hole 13: 178 yards, par-3
Her 6-iron off the tee at the first par-3 of the day landed just off the back side of the green, about 15 feet from the hole. She drained the putt from off the green for her first BIRDIE on the PGA Tour.

After hitting the fairway again off the tee (280 yards), her second shot landed a few feet from the cup, but rolled about 28 feet away. Her first putt (third shot) came up a few rolls short and she hit her second one for a PAR.

Her tee shot (with driver) found the far-right side of the fairway, about 250 yards. Her second shot (6-iron) landed on the green, about 20 feet from the hole. Her first putt (third shot) went just past the hole, and she hit her second one for PAR.
Hole 16: 188 yards, par-3
Her tee shot hit the rough just beyond a bunker to the right, then took a kick to the left and settled 6 feet from the hole. She just missed the short birdie putt to the right, and settled for PAR.
Hole 17: 383 yards, par-4
She was in the fairway again off the tee (7-wood), about 215 yards. Her approach from 160 yards hit the green, but was more than 30 feet from the hole. Her long birdie putt just missed, and she made another PAR.
Hole 18: 427 yards, par-4
Make it 7-for-7 for Sorenstam in fairways hit on her first nine (driver to 241 yards). She got another good bounce on her 192-yard approach shot, which bounced out of the right rough onto the green. Her birdie putt from 30 feet rolled just to the left of the hole, and she sank the comebacker for PAR.
Hole 1: 565 yards, par-5
This was her second, and final, par-5 of the day. She found the fairway again off the tee with driver (266 yards), and layed up with her second shot (6-iron). Her third stroke (wedge from 100 yards) landed on the green, about 12 feet behind the hole. Her birdie putt rolled just past the cup, and she hit the second putt for another PAR.
Hole 2: 400 yards, par-4
Hit her ninth straight fairway (4-wood, 217 yards) to start things off on this dogleg. Her second shot from 161 yards found the green, about 40 feet from the cup. Her birdie putt sailed 6 feet past the hole. She hit the comebacker for PAR.
Hole 3: 476 yards, par-4
On the first hole of the "Horrible Horseshoe" -- the hardest three-hole stretch on the course -- Sorenstam hit another fairway off the tee (driver, 257 yards). Her approach shot from about 210 yards found the green -- 12 feet from the hole. Her birdie putt was short, and she sank her second putt for PAR.
Hole 4: 246 yards, par-3
Using a 4-wood off the tee, Sorenstam reached the front of the green at Colonial's longest par-3. Her birdie putt from 13 feet came up short, but she sank the next to make her ninth straight PAR.
Hole 5: 470 yards, par-4
Sorenstam missed her first fairway of the round, hitting her tee shot into the left rough on this dogleg-right (driver, 271 yards). She hit a great approach shot from around 200 yards, running a 4-iron up onto the green. Her 60-foot birdie putt came up short, and her par putt from about 6 feet just missed. The result was her first BOGEY of the round.
Hole 6: 393 yards, par-4
After her first bogey, Sorenstam went back to work, hitting another fairway off the tee (4-wood, 221 yards). Her approach shot (7-iron) from 175 yards settled on the green pin-high about 20 feet from the cup. She ran her birdie attempt about 5 feet past the hole, but sank the next (hitting the left edge) for PAR.
Hole 7: 427 yards, par-4
She took driver out on this par-4, nailing her tee shot down the middle of the fairway about 255 yards. Her 170-yard approach shot (6-iron) found the front of the green. Her birdie putt from around 30 feet fell a few rolls short of the cup, and she hit the tap-in for PAR.
Hole 8: 192 yards, par-3
Hitting a 6-iron off the tee, she found the fringe on the front of the green. Her 37-foot birdie putt looked tentative, and settled a few feet from the hole. She hit the next putt for PAR.
Hole 9: 402 yards, par-4
Sorenstam was in the fairway off the tee again (4-wood, 235 yards). For her round, she hit 13 of 14 fairways. With mud on her ball, she hit her approach from 175 yards just off the back of the green. The mud was still on her ball for her third shot, a 27-foot putt that went well beyond the cup. She missed the 7-foot comebacker and made her second BOGEY.
