Walt Disney World Resort proved to be the happiest place on earth Sunday for Chris Perry, who used a tie for 13th at the National Car Rental Classic to vault into the top 30 on the money list and earn a berth in next week's Tour Championship.

Top 125 (Exempt for 2001)

Perry jumped past Scott Hoch and Rocco Mediate to gain the 30th and final spot in the $5 million event. Although there was some juggling of positions above him, Perry was the only player to crack the barrier in the final opportunity of the season.

Mediate, who entered as the man on the bubble, missed the cut by three shots at Disney. Hoch, who was No. 31, made the cut but played poorly, failing to pass Mediate and getting passed by Perry.

Perry takes earnings of $1,348,449 to Atlanta, making it the highest figure in history needed to reach the Tour Championship.

Duffy Waldorf, who won the tournament, jumped from 83rd to 38th on the money list, cracking the $1 million mark but failing to reach the Tour Championship. Scott Dunlap also cracked $1 million for the year, making it 43 players in seven digits this season.

One week still remains for players to reach the top 125 for the season and retain playing privileges for 2001. Dan Forsman, who entered the week on the bubble, will remain there once again, although he padded his lead.

Forsman won $6,660 at Disney, giving him $379,349 for the year. That's $11,669 better than No. 126 Pete Jordan.

There wasn't much movement at Disney, with nobody cracking the top 125. Brandt Jobe made the biggest move toward the magic number. He tied for 18th and moved to No. 127, still more than $17,000 behind Forsman.

Players hovering around the 125 mark will decide their fates at the Southern Farm Bureau Classic in Mississippi.

One player complicating matters around the bubble is Tom Pernice Jr., who sits at No. 123 but is already exempt for 2001 as a tournament winner last season.
