HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. -- Nick Faldo and Fanny Sunesson, one of golf's most successful partnerships, will be reunited at the next two tournaments on the PGA Tour.

Sunesson, who caddied for Faldo for nearly a decade before quitting in 1999 to work for Sergio Garcia and Fred Funk, will be back on Faldo's bag at the Worldcom Classic starting Thursday, as well as next week's Houston Open.

Sunesson now works for Notah Begay III, who is taking a break to recover from injury.

"She called me on Saturday morning and said, 'Notah's off for five weeks.' I said, 'good thinking, let's do these two weeks,' " Faldo said Wednesday. "As you know, I'm ducking and diving. I haven't got anything full-time."

Faldo won four of his six major titles with Sunesson as his caddie -- the 1990 and 1996 Masters, and 1990 and 1992 British Opens.

Since losing Sunesson, Faldo has used several caddies, but none has lasted very long.

It seems Faldo, 43, would like Sunesson to return permanently, but it remains to be seen whether she wants to work for a player who hasn't finished in the top 140 on the PGA Tour money list in any of the past three years.

Faldo missed the cut at last week's Masters.
