The winners of the first-ever High School Heisman awards were announced at halftime of this weekend's inaugural National High School Football All-Star Game in Dallas, Texas. Six winners were selected from a group of 18 High School Heisman Award finalists (see complete list below).

Cardinal O?Hara Prep (Pa.) senior running back Kevin Jones took home the Heisman from the Northeast, with Independence High (N.C.) sophomore quarterback Chris Leak earning the award in the Mid-Atlantic, Bradenton Southeast High (Fla.) senior quarterback Adrian McPherson in the South and Cretin-Derham Hall (Minn.) senior quarterback Joe Mauer in the Midwest.

	Ventura High (Calif.) running back Tyler Ebell, who set a new national single-season rushing record, collected the Heisman in the West.

In the West and Southwest, a pair of senior running backs, Tyler Ebell of Ventura High (Calif.) and Cedric Benson of Midland Lee (Texas), collected top honors.
