The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series travels to Dover International Speedway this weekend for the thirteenth race of the regular season. Can-Am and Kappa, will be sponsoring the #32 Ford and driver Matt DiBenedetto as they take the green flag for the AAA 400 Drive for Autism. The team will also be taking part in Dover's, "Autism Awareness Day at the Races" and will be running a special Autism Awareness decal on the Can-Am/Kappa Ford all weekend.
Break The Streak: The last couple of points-weeks have been rough for the No.32 Can-Am team. A parts failure at Kansas caused the team to go behind the wall early, despite great speed throughout the race. At Charlotte, Matt was running top-25 speeds for most of the race before a right-front tire got cut by debris and caused the end of the day for the Cosmo Motors Ford.
DiBenedetto said, "If you just look at the last couple of weeks, we've had bad luck. But overall, this season we've had great pace and some really good results. We're running with some bigger teams and really exceeding expectations each week and that's all we can really ask for. Points-wise, we're not where we want to be right now. We know we are a better team than where we currently stand, and it's up to myself and everyone else on the Can-Am/Kappa team to prove that for the rest of the season."
Can-Am: Matt has taken delivery of a Can-Am vehicle of his own since his last Can-Am sponsored race. "I've been having so much fun with my new Maverick X3 over the last couple of weeks," Matt said. "During the two Charlotte race-weeks, I was able to take the Maverick X3 out with my wife and a few friends, and we had way too much fun. It's so cool to have such a fun sponsor with us at Go Fas Racing. I look forward to getting home just so I can get out on the trails!"
DiBenedetto on "The Monster Mile" "Dover is one of the most fun tracks to race. You really have to 'get up on the wheel' and work hard to be fast every lap there. There is no such thing as 'riding around' at the Monster Mile. It's definitely a track that you have to attack. We're going to do our best to stay as close to the lead lap as possible and get our Can-Am/Kappa team a good finish."
