Race 20 of 36:
Much of the NASCAR industry is based in the Charlotte, North Carolina area, but for the Go Fas Racing team, heading to New Hampshire Motor Speedway brings a feeling of being a little closer to home. Team owner Archie St. Hilaire, Team Manager Mason St. Hilaire, and Engine Specialist Willie Pelotte are all local to the Maine/New Hampshire area. In fact, many of the companies based in the area surrounding the St. Hilaire's will partner with the race team this weekend, bringing back a grassroots sponsorship approach to NASCAR's highest level.
A Local Flavor:
Highlighted on the No.32 Ford this weekend will be many local companies. The primary sponsor, Weirs Motor Sales (Buick/GMC), is a preferred dealership in Arundel, Maine offering quality new & used cars as well as state-of-the-art auto service and repairs, and car financing. Also on the No.32 Go Fas Racing Ford will be Carl Perkins Paving, PM Construction, Bangor Truck Equipment, Bentley's Saloon, The Rod Father (Rods, Customs and Muscle Cars), and a campaign for Shawn Moody for Governor. Being locals to the area, the St. Hilaire's are proud to be part of this car representing small local businesses.
Team Manager Mason St. Hilaire said, "I always look forward to coming back to the area. We see a lot of great friends and family while we're up here and obviously we're very proud 'Mainers'. My father and I are very lucky to have the support of all of these great companies and I think it's really unique that we are able to do something like this. There are a lot of massive NASCAR teams that are unable to do things like this for small businesses, but we take a lot of pride in working alongside small businesses like these from all over the country, but especially this close to home."
