John Hunter Nemechek scores first NASCAR Xfinity win; early wreck scrambles Playoffs: John Hunter Nemechek grabbed his first NASCAR Xfinity Series victory in a race that threw the championship battle into chaos. Pulling away with three laps after the final restart on Lap 169 of 200, Nemechek took the checkered flag 5.200 seconds ahead of Daniel Hemric to win the Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas Speedway, the venue where his father, Joe Nemechek, won his final Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race in 2004.[More](10-20-2018)

John Hunter Nemechek wins Kansas Speedway XFINITY race: #42-John Hunter Nemechek won the Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas Speedway for his first career win in his 15th start.
#21-Daniel Hemric finished second, followed by #1-Elliott Sadler, #3-Shane Lee, #9-Tyler Reddick, #2-Matt Tifft, #16-Ryan Reed, #60-Ty Majeski, #39-Ryan Sieg, and #51-Jeremey Clements.
It was a tough day for several Playoff drivers. On the first lap of the race #7-Justin Allgaier got loose and slid up into #20-Christopher Bell. Several other drivers were caught up in the accident, including #22-Austin Cindric and #00-Cole Custer. Bell, Allgaier, and Cindric could not continue. They finished 37th, 38th, and 39th. Custer's team made repairs to the car and he managed to finish in 26th.
There were 7 cautions for 41 laps and 10 lead changes among 6 leaders.
The average speed was 118.995mph.
