Bryce Napier is pleased to announce his 2017 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) schedule, which includes a minimum of four race events with Jennifer Jo Cobb Racing (JJCR). The 17-year old Scotts Valley, California native will compete back-to-back races starting with the June 17 "Gateway 200" at Gateway Motorsports Park and the June 23 "NASCAR Camping World Series Iowa 200" at Iowa Speedway.
Napier has extensive racing experience which began when he was just five years old racing quarter midgets. The Kulwicki Driver Development program graduate moved through the ranks of mini cup race cars to the full-size late model division and on to 4 NCWTS starts at Martinsville (2016/2017), Bristol Motor Speedway (2016) and Phoenix International Raceway (2016). Napier is set to turn 18 on August 12, making him eligible to compete later this year at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (September 30) and Talladega Superspeedway (October 14), pending NASCAR approval.
Napier understands the limitations of working with small, independent teams and has realistic goals in mind. "I am so honored to be working with JJCR and being given the opportunity to take the seat in the #10 truck. I want to thank Jennifer for her confidence and support," Napier said. "I'm very excited to be taking on a new track, the 1.25 mile Gateway Motorsports Park. Not only is this a new track for me, but will also be the largest track I have driven. It will be a challenge that I am ready to tackle. I'm hoping to have a top 20-finish and most of all to make Jennifer Jo Cobb proud and to show my fans a great race."
"Bryce has earned some great opportunities and experience with some well respected small NASCAR teams so I have no doubt he will meet his goal to compete at Talladega shortly after his 18th birthday," said team owner, Jennifer Jo Cobb. "I am honored that our team can be a part of his journey and I look forward working with him."
Napier's sponsors include businesses from his home state of California and include: ASAP Appliance Service Inc., Harry's Auto Repair, Jia Tella's Cambodian Cuisine, and JT's Two Doors. He is also a proud supporter of the United States military and is extending honorary sponsorship to SupportMilitary.org and Driven2Honor.org.
