Ratings jump for Trucks, XFINITY after move to broadcast networks

A move from cable to broadcast lifted NASCAR's Truck and Xfinity Series.

NASCAR Truck Series racing from Pocono (Pa.) earned 881,000 viewers on FOX last Saturday afternoon, up 14% from last year (775K) and up 13% from 2015 (782K), both of which aired on Fox Sports 1. The 0.6 rating increased a tick from both last year and 2015.

Later in the day, the Xfinity Series race from Iowa posted a 1.1 rating and 1.7 million viewers on NBC - up 83% in ratings and 58% in viewership from last year (0.6, 1.1M) and up 57% and 60% respectively from 2015 (0.7, 1.0M), both of which aired on NBCSN.
