Hino Motors Manufacturing rejoins Truex for Michigan return

Ryan Truex returns to Michigan International Speedway for his second-career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at the two-mile tri-oval on the strength of a season-best third-place finish. Truex scored the podium result two weeks ago at Pocono Raceway and finished in the top 10 for the first time in four races. His third top-five finish of the 2017 campaign put three tough weeks to bed and vaulted the Mayetta, N.J. product back into the NCWTS Playoff Grid.

Four races remain on the road to the NCWTS playoffs. Truex leaped back into the eighth and final position on the Playoff Grid courtesy of his top-five finish and strong stage results at Pocono Raceway. Truex currently claims one of the three remaining playoff positions based on points, and has a four-point margin over the cutoff after 12 races.

For the second-consecutive trip to the Irish Hills, Truex will carry the black and red colors of Hino Motors Manufacturing at MIS. Hino currently claims 191 dealerships and 36 parts and service centers in the United States. Building on 35 years' experience and reputation as #1 in the Japanese heavy- and medium-duty truck market, Hino Motors, Ltd. is now the fastest growing truck manufacturer in the U.S. Their U.S. Headquarters is based in nearby Farmington Hills, Mich., less than 70 miles from MIS.
