Tyler Hughes to make debut in Camping World Truck Series in Martinsville

Long Motorsports is excited to welcome Tyler Hughes into the Camping World Truck Series. Tyler, a long time race car driver will be Long Motorsports driver for the "Carilion Truck" at Martinsville Speedway, October 28, 2017. Racing since the age of five, Tyler has competed on asphalt and dirt tracks, driving for G2 Racing, NASCAR K&N Pro Series and NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model.

A native of Maryland, Tyler Hughes will work with Long Motorsports to help raise awareness for Carilion Children's.

"The best part about this whole experience is truly supporting Carilion Children's. I love interacting with kids at the race track on a weekly basis. It's an awesome opportunity to be able to support Carilion Children's and to be a part of a hospital dedicated to making sure children have the right care."

Boyd Long, Owner of Long Motorsports wanted someone who could connect with children. "We are excited to have Tyler Hughes as our driver for the "Carilion Children's" truck, to help us raise awareness for Carilion Children's. He adds value to our team and our goal."

Tyler's debut into the truck series provides him the opportunity to take the next step in his racing career.
