Clippers sign former Laker Cook

The Clippers signed veteran power forward Brian Cook on Friday.

He will get a two-year, $2.4 million contract, a source close to the situation told ESPN.com Friday morning.

The former Laker has played for Orlando and Houston over the past three seasons. He was waived by the Rockets on Feb. 19, after be played sparingly in 15 games.

Cook is a career 39.1 percent shooter from behind the 3-point arc. His best year came in 2005-06 with the Lakers, when he averaged 7.9 points on 42.9 percent 3-point shooting.
