Smith hits 10-of-10 from 3-point range to lift George Mason

HARRISONBURG, Va. -- Dre Smith made 10 3-pointers without a
miss to set an NCAA record in George Mason's 96-75 victory over
James Madison on Saturday night.

Smith, who finished with a career-high 34 points, broke the
record of 9-for-9 held by three players, Mark Poag of Old Dominion,
Markus Wilson of Evansville and Donnie McGrath of Providence.

John Vaughan added 20 points for George Mason (13-5, 5-2
Colonial Athletic Association) and Folarin Campbell and Will Thomas
each had 16 points. Thomas also surpassed 1,300 career points in the game.

Terrance Carter led the Dukes (10-7, 3-4) with 23 points, and
Juwann James added 16.

George Mason led 48-34 at the half and started the second with
an 8-0 run. But the Dukes went on a 16-7 run to pull to 67-55.
Mason then went on to lead 83-66 with 4:20 to play on Smith's ninth
3-pointer.
