BOSTON -- Northeastern coach Bill Coen has signed a multiyear contract extension after leading the Huskies to the postseason in each of the past two years.
Coen has a 66-62 record in four seasons at the Boston school, including 20-13 last season when the team earned a berth in the National Invitation Tournament. That followed a 19-13 record the previous season when the Huskies reached the quarterfinals of the College Basketball Invitational.
Athletic director Peter Roby said in a statement Monday that Coen has been "a terrific coach and educator."
Prior to Northeastern, Coen was a longtime assistant to Al Skinner at both Boston College and Rhode Island.
The school did not immediately specify terms of the extension.
