Hofstra 76, Binghamton 63
BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (AP) -- Antonie Agudio scored 22 points to lead
Hofstra to a 76-63 win Saturday over Binghamton.
Loren Stokes pulled down a game-high nine rebounds for Hofstra
(3-0). Aurimas Kieza scored 19 points and Loren Stokes added 18 for
the Pride.
Andre Heard scored 14 points and Sebastian Hermenier grabbed six
rebounds For Binghamton (1-3).
Binghamton built an early 14-5 lead. But the Bearcats then
missed 10 consecutive shots, opening the door for Hofstra.
The Pride shot 50 percent in the first half and used a 12-3 run
to grab a 34-31 lead at halftime. Binghamton made just two field
goals in the the final 10:39 of the half.
Hofstra opened the second half with a 20-8 run to stretch its
lead to 15. The Bearcats twice pulled to within seven, but Hofstra
made seven free throws in the final 4:10 to seal the win.
