HEMSPTEAD, N.Y. (AP) -- Antoine Agudio scored 19 of his 30 points in the second half and Hofstra snapped Virginia Commonwealth's 10-game winning streak with a 79-68 victory Wednesday night.
Agudio made 10 of 17 shots and Loren Stokes was 10-for-15 for 21 points for the Pride (17-6, 10-2 Colonial Athletic Association), who were up 33-28 at the half.
Hofstra extended its home winning streak to 27 consecutive regular-season games.
Jamal Shuler led the Rams (19-4, 11-1) with 17 points. Wil Fameni and Eric Maynor each added 15 points.
A three-point play by Chris Gadley gave the Pride a 39-32 early in the second half.
A 3-pointer by Jesse Pellot-Rosa got the Rams within 51-50 at 9:04, but the Pride went on a 17-8 behind Agudio's 10 points to go up 76-66 with 43 seconds left.
