Davidson 120, Emory 56

DAVIDSON, N.C. (AP) -- Stephen Curry's 27 points led five Davidson players in double figures in the Wildcats' 120-56 season-opening win over Emory on Friday night.

Curry hit 10-of-15 from the floor, including five 3-pointers, reaching the 20-point level for the 20th time in his career.

Jason Richards had 14 points and 10 assists, while Boris Meno had 12 points and 13 rebounds for Davidson (1-0). Bryant Barr scored 17 off the bench including five 3-pointers, and Brendan McKillop had 11 in his collegiate debut.

Dan Curtin's 11 points made him the lone player in double figures for Emory (0-1), which shot just 30.6 overall.

The Wildcats scored the games first 16 points and held a 65-45 lead at the half. The team's points total was the most for a Davidson club since the Wildcats defeated Washington & Jefferson 125-44 on Dec. 21, 2002.
