TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) -- Gabe Moore scored 13 points and Harry Marshall had 10 as Indiana State beat Creighton 62-54 Wednesday night.
Indiana State (7-5, 2-0 Missouri Valley Conference) took a 25-24 halftime lead and never led by less than seven after the 15:18 mark of the second half.
The Sycamores shot 46.8 percent from the field and outscored Creighton in the paint 26-16. Indiana State had 14 points off free throws compared with the Jays' eight.
Creighton (9-3, 0-2) shot just 37.3 percent from the field.
The Sycamores took control with 3:25 left in the first half as Todd McCoy hit a 3-pointer to make it 23-20. Indiana State never again trailed.
Booker Woodfox was the only Creighton player in double figures with 16.
