ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- DeShawn Sims made a basket from the corner as time expired in overtime Saturday to rally Michigan to a 66-64 victory over Savannah State.
Sims finished with 23 points and Manny Harris added 22 to lead the Wolverines (5-1).
Freshman Zack Novak stole the ball in the final 3 seconds of regulation, drove the length of floor and missed a dunk that would have given Michigan the win.
After trailing by 20 points at halftime, Michigan started the second half by scoring 15 straight points. Harris sent the game into overtime when he made two free throws with 35 seconds remaining.
