Buffalo 71, N.C.-Asheville 52

AMHERST, N.Y. -- Calvin Betts scored a career-high 20 points, leading Buffalo to a 71-52 win over North Carolina-Asheville on Saturday.

Betts went 6-of-9 from the floor, converting 4-of-5 three-point attempts and grabbing 10 rebounds. Rodney Pierce contributed 18 points for the Bulls (5-3) going 7-of-15 from the field, with 5 rebounds.

Reid Augst scored 12 points with 4 steals for UNC-Asheville (4-7), which remained winless on the road and travels to Ohio State Monday.

Asheville led just once -- by 2 point at 19:24 in the first half. The Bulldogs committed 16 turnovers and were outrebounded by the Bulls 42-26.

The Bulldogs shot just 18-of-52 from the field (34.6 percent) and were 2-of-17 from beyond the arc.

Buffalo made 10-of-16 three-point attempts and was 20-of-49 from the field (40.8 percent) and 21-of-27 from the foul line.
