RUSTON, La. -- Magnum Rolle recorded a double-double, scoring 25 points and grabbing 12 boards, to lead Louisiana Tech in an 80-71 win over New Mexico State on Thursday night.
Jamel Guyton added 18 points, including going 4-for-6 from beyond the arc, for the Bulldogs (13-16, 5-9 Western Athletic Conference). Kyle Gibson scored 17 points and James Loe had 10 for Louisiana Tech, which won its third straight game.
Jahmar Young paced the Aggies (15-13, 8-6) with 22 points, while Jonathan Gibson and Gordo Castillo added 11 apiece. Young was 4-for-7 from 3-point range for the Aggies, who had a four-game winning streak snapped.
The Bulldogs shot 52 percent from the field (26 of 50) compared to a 43.4 percent mark (23 of 53) for the Aggies. Both teams hit eight 3-pointers in the contest, but the Bulldogs attempted just 13 shots versus 20 for the Aggies.
