CANCUN, Mexico -- Aaric Murray scored 20 points to lead four players in double figures and La Salle defeated Providence 84-73 on Tuesday night.
Williams also had 13 rebounds as La Salle won the battle of the boards 59-31.
Rebounds came easier to the Explorers as Providence (4-1) shot 34.8 percent from the field (23 of 66), including 8 of 32 from 3-point range (25 percent).
La Salle shot 50 percent from the field (32 of 64) and made 5 of 10 from long range.
The Explorers have now won three straight, while the Friars' four-game winning streak was snapped.
