NEW YORK -- Travion Leonard made a go-ahead free throw with 38 seconds left to lift Fordham to a 66-63 win over Rhode Island on Saturday.
The score was close through much of the contest. Rhode Island took a 63-62 lead when T.J. Buchanan knocked down a 3-pointer with 1:45 left in the game.
Fordham's Branden Frazier made a free throw to tie the game at 63-all with a minute remaining. Leonard then put Fordham (6-14, 2/3 Atlantic 10 Conference) ahead for good with his free throw.
Frazier, who led Fordham with 20 points, made two more free throws to seal the game.
