Longtime assistant takes over Aggies

Utah State has hired longtime assistant Tim Duryea to replace Stew Morrill, sources told ESPN.

Duryea joined the Aggies staff in 2001. He was promoted to associate coach in 2008 and is the longest-tenured assistant in program history.

His only previous head-coaching experience was at Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College from 1999 to 2001.

Morrill retired after the season. He was 393-149 as the Aggies coach since 1998.
