Lecomte, a 5-foot-11 point guard from Belgium, will be eligible for the 2016-17 season after sitting out the upcoming campaign. He will have two years remaining with the Bears.
Lecomte will bring outside shooting to Waco, as he knocked down 45.6 percent of his 3-point attempts this past season. He averaged 7.9 points, starting 23 games for the Hurricanes.
Baylor hasn't had an outside shooter like Lecomte since Brady Heslip, who made 301 3-pointers and shot 43.7 percent from the perimeter in his three seasons with the Bears from 2012 through 2014. No one on the Baylor roster made more than 60 3-pointers this past season. Scott Drew has six seniors on next season's roster, leaving plenty of minutes for Lecomte when he becomes eligible.
