Shoulder injury ends season of Tahj Shamsid-Deen for second time

AUBURN, Ala. -- Auburn guard Tahj Shamsid-Deen is out for the season with a shoulder injury.

Auburn coach Bruce Pearl said Friday that Shamsid-Deen will undergo surgery on his right shoulder. He has missed the past seven games and also missed the end of last season with injuries that required surgery on both shoulders.

Whether the injury is career-ending won't be determined until after the surgery, Pearl said.

Shamsid-Deen suffered the injury in practice.

Guard T.J. Dunans also could miss the rest of the season with a knee injury, Pearl said.

Auburn hosts No. 14 Kentucky on Saturday.
