GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida Gators forward Devin Robinson will be sidelined at least four months following foot surgery.
The 6-foot-9 Robinson, who entered the NBA draft on April 4, had surgery Wednesday to repair a stress fracture in his left foot, the team announced Thursday. The Gators expect his recovery to take between four and six months, meaning he should be ready for the start of next season if he returns.
Because Robinson did not sign with an agent, he's able to return to the Gators for his junior season if he decides to do so by May 25.
A sophomore from Chesterfield, Virginia, Robinson was the team's fifth-leading scorer (9.0 points) and third-leading rebounder (5.6 rebounds) in 2015-16. He started 18 games, including the final nine of the season.
