GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Florida guard Brandone Francis-Ramirez has decided to transfer.
The Gators confirmed the news Wednesday after Francis-Ramirez posted on his Twitter page that "it was best for me to transfer from UF." He added that he will remain on campus this summer while taking a class and figuring out what program is the "best fit for my style."
I appreciate and love coach white for supporting my decision and assisting me and my family with the process of finding my next team.

After sitting out his freshman year while working to become academically eligible, Francis-Ramirez averaged nearly 11 minutes in 29 games as a sophomore last season, finishing with 59 points and 29 rebounds. He shot 20 percent from the field and 17 percent from 3-point range.
He will have to sit out next season under NCAA transfer rules and will have two years of eligibility remaining.
Francis-Ramirez is the second player to leave Florida since the end of the season, joining guard DeVon Walker.
