Kentucky centers Isaac Humphries, Tai Wynyard sit out practice

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Kentucky pivot men Isaac Humphries and Tai Wynyard sat out Tuesday's workout because of injuries and are considered day-to-day.

Humphries, a 7-foot Australian who averaged 2.4 rebounds and 1.9 points in 23 games as a Wildcats freshman, didn't practice because of right knee soreness.

Wynyard, a 6-10 New Zealand native who redshirted last season, has been sidelined since fracturing the left side of his face when an inadvertent elbow hit him during Kentucky's nationally televised practice on Oct. 9.

Kentucky will hold its Blue-White scrimmage on Friday night at Rupp Arena and begin exhibition play Oct. 30 against Clarion (Pennsylvania), the alma mater of Wildcats coach John Calipari.

The Wildcats open the regular season on Nov. 11 against Stephen F. Austin.
