Steven Enoch choosing to transfer from UConn to Louisville

Connecticut transfer Steven Enoch committed to Louisville on Sunday.

Enoch took a visit to the Cardinals' campus last week.

Enoch, a 6-foot-11 power forward from Norwalk, Connecticut, averaged 3.4 points and 2.3 rebounds this past season. He saw his role diminish toward the middle of conference play because of a right foot injury that caused him to miss five games in January.

He should see a bigger role in Rick Pitino's program, though, as Jaylen Johnson has declared for the draft and the Cardinals will lose Anas Mahmoud after next season. They don't currently have any frontcourt players committed in the 2018 class either.

Due to NCAA transfer regulations, Enoch must sit out the 2017-18 season but will have two years of eligibility after his redshirt.

Enoch was one of three players to leave the Huskies via transfer in the past month, along with freshmen Vance Jackson and Juwan Durham. Top recruit Makai Ashton-Langford and assistant coach Glen Miller also departed the program during that time.
