Elijah Brown transferring from New Mexico to Oregon

New Mexico graduate transfer Elijah Brown, arguably the nation's best available transfer, announced he has committed to Oregon.

Brown's father is Golden State Warriors assistant coach Mike Brown, who is filling in for Steve Kerr during the NBA playoffs. He was previously the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers.

Elijah Brown also visited Gonzaga, Iowa State and Northwestern, and he included Saint Mary's on his list of five.

Brown, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard who started his career at Butler, averaged 18.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 3.1 assists last season.
