The top nine in the ESPN/USA Today coaches' poll remained the same this week as the college basketball season ventures full-time into conference play.
There are six undefeated teams among the Top 25, including No. 1 Syracuse (13-0). The Orange again received all but one of the coaches' 31 first-place votes, with No. 2 Ohio State (12-1) again getting a single nod as the nation's top-ranked team.
The remainder of the unchanged first nine: Kentucky (11-1), Louisville (12-0), Duke (10-1), North Carolina (11-2), Baylor (12-0), Missouri (12-0) and Connecticut (10-1), with Florida (10-2) rejoining the top 10 at No. 10.
Perhaps the week's most anticipated game occurs in the Commonwealth, when Kentucky plays host to Louisville at noon ET Saturday. Earlier in the week, the Cardinals must contend with No. 12 Georgetown at home.
The biggest tumblers in this week's rankings, released Monday, are Pittsburgh (11-2), which fell nine spots to No. 22 after a stunning 59-54 loss to Wagner of the Northeast Conference; and Kansas (8-3), which fell seven spots to 18th, the result of an 80-74 loss to Davidson last Monday.
Around Pitt and Kansas, the rest of the second 10 were No. 11 Wisconsin (11-2), Georgetown (10-1), Marquette (11-1), Mississippi State (12-1), Indiana (12-0), Michigan (10-2), Michigan State (11-2), Creighton (10-1) at No. 19 and UNLV.
With Indiana back on the map in terms of its ranking, this week presents the Hoosiers with two considerable Big Ten tests -- they visit No. 17 Michigan State on Wednesday and then play host to the second-ranked Buckeyes on Saturday.
Murray State (13-0) at No. 21, Harvard (10-1) at No. 23, and Virginia (10-1) and Kansas State (10-1) -- newcomers to this week's rankings -- round out the Top 25.
Xavier (9-3, 15th last week), and Illinois (11-2, No. 24) fell out of the rankings. Xavier's victory on Sunday in the Diamond Head Classic ended a three-game losing streak and was its first win since Dec. 10, when the Musketeers beat Cincinnati in a game cut short in the closing seconds by brawling and mayhem on the court.
In The Associated Press media poll, Syracuse, Ohio State, Kentucky, Louisville and North Carolina made up this week's top five.
