Air Force men's basketball coach Dave Pilipovich is set to receive a new five-year contract, sources told ESPN on Tuesday night. An official announcement is expected later this week.
Pilipovich just completed his first full season at the helm after replacing Jeff Reynolds on an interim basis on Feb. 8, 2012, and being given the permanent tag on March 3, 2012.
Air Force was 18-14 this past season and 8-8 in Mountain West play. The 18 victories were fourth-most in program history and the CIT bid was just the seventh postseason appearance in school history.
Pilipovich was on Reynolds' staff for five seasons and also spent two years working for Tommy Amaker at Michigan. He also was an assistant at Eastern Michigan, Robert Morris, Georgia State and Florida Atlantic University.
